American Coyote was created at the request of
wildlife educators and advocates nationwide,
who wanted to use it for neighborhood outreach
and wildlife education purposes.
A shortened half-hour version of San Francisco—
Still Wild At Heart, a one-hour urban wildlife film,
American Coyote focuses solely on coyotes—
the expansion of their populations across the
continent and the possible reasons behind that
expansion, the impact of coyotes on our
ecosystems, and the ways in which we can
coexist with them safely.
American Coyote continues to be screened in an expanding number of community education and outreach gatherings around the country. In July 2009, it will be also be featured in
Australia in an international conference on animal protection called “Minding Animals”.
